This project is created during the Collaborative Mentorship Class wiht The Mill NY. I created FX elements with Pyro & Particle systems using Houdini. Also using houdini Heightfield to create the background. The project is done in Houdini and rendered with Arnold

I projected the surface and velocity of the wheels to the ground and emit particles from those surface. I created a realistic and accurate source for the pyro systems of the dust trail.
I used three turbulence and three disturbance to create different level of detail in different density. It helps create the puffy look. I also added in a custom wind field to allow the rear end of the dust trail to spread across the surface.
The particles are simulated with 6 different passes. Each is slightly vary from each other with the Point Jitter and merged to create a more complex look. Each layer contain around 1 million particles.
The terrain is created with 3 layers of heightfield in Houdini with the correct distance and height for the atmospheric volume.
